DirectorsLabChicago 2019: In the Room

“A good room” can be defined as the space where artistic endeavors are in motion towards a common goal, and the constructive relationships between the collaborators in that space. As directors, we are responsible for imagining, creating and holding “a good room,” be it in production meetings, rehearsals or performances. Who is “in the room” with you? What is your room like? How do you assemble your good room? And why? DirectorsLabChicago investigates the coalitions, mechanics and possibilities of collaboration.
