New this year! While the interns will work together throughout the Lab to accomplish their duties, one intern will head the Arts Service Administrative tasks and one intern will primarily be responsible for the Marketing and Media tasks associated with the Lab.
Examples of the Arts Service Administration responsibilities are: Greeting speakers and escorting them to their workshop space, setting up rooms for workshops with necessary equipment and seating, distributing and collecting resources and materials for attendees, keeping Lab workshops running on time, helping attendees to travel from venue to venue expeditiously, and general admin tasks, e.g. data entry, website updates, or attendee registration tasks.
Examples of Marketing and Media responsibilities are: Manning DLC’s social media platforms during the week of the Lab, documenting aspects of the Lab which may include photographing or videoing sessions, interviewing attendees about their experience at the Lab, or posting about Lab workshops on social media, and aiding staff in compiling marketing materials for future Labs or other events.
Once the intern responsibilities have been fulfilled, interns are invited to participate in the Lab’s workshops and attend performances and events with the staff and attendees.
